In Housefull 5A, after a series of chaotic murders, the film reveals that Dev (Fardeen Khan), the estranged son of Ranjeet Dobriyal (Ranjeet), is the mastermind behind the killings. He teams up with Jolly 2 (Abhishek Bachchan) to eliminate anyone standing in the way of inheriting the fortune. The climax ends with Bobby Deol making a surprise entry as the real Jolly, distributing the wealth among the survivors and marrying Sonam Bajwa (because, why not?).
Housefull 5B Ending: A Different Twist
In Housefull 5B, the killer is revealed to be Maya (Chitrangada Singh), a board member of Ranjeet’s empire, who conspires with Jolly 2 (Abhishek Bachchan) to carry out the murders. Once again, Bobby Deol appears as the true heir, wrapping up the story with his signature charm.
Why Two Endings?
Producer Sajid Nadiadwala wanted to offer an “interactive” cinematic experience, making Housefull 5 the first Bollywood film with alternate climaxes. While some fans enjoyed the novelty, others found it confusing, questioning whether the makers were unsure about the right ending.
